FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

@ Rowe's Mom-I'm originally from Elmira. There is another Mom who is from Elmira from my son's PIR class. I don't know if she belongs to this group yet, but I'll check.

Please do here's the address to send your donated item to be packed up on November 2nd.  Please try to include a letter or letters to a sailor.

Spomss  Anything you'd like to donate for the sailors would be wonderful!  Along with any donation please consider including a letter  or two.  They love to get a letter from home.  Some of these young men don't have anyone writing to them.

Here's the address to send your donation.  They must be received by Oct 28 since the packing will be on November 2nd.

So fall has really started-fair is over, school started and its 45 degrees!

Hope all that went to the fair had a great time-maybe we can plan a Sunday lunch to get together?? 

Any suggestions?  Will look into that and post some later-have a nice Friday!
