Welcome to everyone who has joined. We'd love to hear your stories about your NFO.
My son graduated in 2004, was winged in 2006, has been on one deployment, and was recently selected for Test Pilot School- yes they take NFO's! It's been an exciting and sometimes emotional few years.
Please tell us a little about yourself and your NFO. If you have questions about training, deployment, or anything else, please ask. There will be several members with experience to help out the newbies.

So interesting......my daughter was accepted to Purdue...we wanted her to go there but she chose Iowa State instead (journalism)...Purdue is a great school.
My son really hopes to get the F-18 as well....will be happy with anything though but that would be his 1st pick.....so happy for your son that the timing was so perfect and he loves what he's doing....we have a long road ahead but one that is so exciting and the entire family is looking forward to.....my son is living his dream so pray that all goes well and the wait isn't as long as we've heard. My son just graduated OCS with snowmc's son.....looking forward to hearing more from you and others on this forum....this is wonderful!!!

Thanks Donna for getting this started.....congratulations to your son on the Test Pilot School....my son would love that someday.....my son is prior enlisted..was on a carrier with 2 deployments to the Gulf....my husband is ex-Navy....we love the military. I have so many questions regarding the backlog in Pensacola....is it the aviation community in general (SNA's and NFO's) they are trying to weed out or mainly SNA's?? We're hearing all kinds of rumors about changes in grading in API, etc......my son has his pilot's license so will skip IFS.....he will be in Pensacola Monday to begin the long wait to class up...he's not worried about all the rumors but I'm a bit unnerved by it all.....want it all to go without any glitches....."worry" has become my middle name, however.....thanks to all the moms who have been at this for a while....really appreciate any and all info

Yes...he graduated OCS on March 26th...so we are at the very beginning and I am a very green mom...so much to learn!

Have heard about the Tiger cruise. Really looking forward to that...won't miss it. And thanks for the info on deployments. I know we are years away from that, but my mind asks so many questions!

Thank you Donna! That is so cool about Test Pilot School...good to know our kids have that opportunity if they wish. When deployed...how often are they able to check in with family? And how long was his deployment?

I am sooo glad that we have a forum for us NFO moms. My son is arriving in Pensacola on Sunday to start his next Navy adventure!
