Alright! As of now, Benjamin is in San Diego and we are in Minnesota!! We are having a really difficult time figuring out a few things:
-Money is an issue. We are living close to paycheck to paycheck right now. Any extra seems to be going to help us knocking out bills/loans and my amazon child who grows like a weed!! My concern is how we are going to do the move with little money. Can anyone give me direct links or phone numbers or anything about financial assistance to help us move? Our sponsor has not been much of any help. This is why I'm here.
-I am horribly stressed about trying to find a place that is safe and comfy. It'll just be myself and my toddler. We have been looking at the Lincoln Military Housing because it seems to simplify a lot of stuff for us. The only thing I'm opposed to is on-base housing because it eliminates our BAH entirely.
-ugh... I feel like I had a ton more questions but I'm sure I'll think of them as some of my questions get answered. I'm sorry in advanced if some of these are found elsewhere but please understand I'm under a little stress and I don't use N4M's often!

I'll look them up. I feel like we've looked everywhere online and I swear I've never heard of this one. We were looking at Mariner's Watch and quite frankly, they're everything we want as far as the information given via website.
I dont know if you found a place already, Im new on the page and just saw your post. We just moved here from Hawaii and I understand how you feeling right now. As someone said the best way is look for a place to stay for couple of days while you check out the area. We knew we wanted to live in the Chesapeake area because is one of the safest areas around, so we found a cheap hotel in the area (Town Place by Marriott only $55 per night and have a full kitchen) and started looking. We end up with Holly Point Apts, is a lil more that what we wanted to pay but the area is awesome. They have monitored security system in every apt and when we checked with crimemapping.com is one of the areas w less criminality that we could find. My hubby is going to be on a ship and I really wanted to feel safe while he is on his way. Dont get me wrong there's good and bad areas everywhere, but as soon as we saw this place we felt at home, and BHA is enough to pay rent, utilies and have a lil left for cable. You can check them at http://www.hollypointapartments.com/ hope that helps.
