Thanks Gigi. I watched that clip. There is a link to watch live .... but looks like I'll have to wait to see much. Hopefully they get going soon. Did someone forget to show up this morning? They forgot to turn the oven off? Flat iron?

Thanks B'sNukeMoM for the heads up on the delay.

Katherine here’s a short clip I found on today’s deployment

Katharine - To my knowledge there is not a live came for when ships leave, like there is in SD. Sometimes the local news will show something, so you might need to do a Google search. The other option is to check your ombudsman page. At least with my son's ship, when they were leaving or returning, some of the wives would post pictures that they had taken from one of the beach spots, and would share them in in our Ombudsman FB group.

Does anyone know if there is a live cam like they have in San Diego for when ships leave?

Comment by John and Yvonne on August 3, 2023 at 4:21pm

WaterLily,

We look forward to connecting with you when your son comes back from deployment! And hopefully we will get to meet him and invite him over. :) We have two other Sailors who are also on deployment and they will be coming over when they get back! It is such a blessing that the Lord has opened the door again for us since the pandemic!

We will keep your son in our prayers while he is out there.

God bless,

Yvonne and John
