For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

In the event of an emergency within the sailor’s family, where you feel the sailor must be notified and considered for Emergency Leave, you must notify the American Red Cross through the national headquarters in Washington, DC (1-877-272-7337) or via their website www.redcross.org.

On last night's news, they said some calls/email were being rerouted through Canada. Hopefully we'll all get a call/email from our Sailors on Christmas.

Have to gone to your son's ship's website and registered? You will be sent a logon and password. If there is any info regarding the ship, you'll receive an email.
Yes, I do know quite a bit about Tigar Cruises. Not all ship offers them and don't offer them everytime the ship goes out.

Matt's on the Ramage (destroyer). when Matt landed in Bahrain he was flown by helicopter to the Iwo Jima and then another helicopter ride to his ship. Took him about 4 days to get to his ship.

I have to take expection with Nate being upset with you for worrying and making a fuss........We as mothers have every right in the world to worry and fuss. And if the kids so like it, time to get used to it! My kids all know I worry and fuss and they just accept as a fact of life! Pat yourself on the back Darla and tell Nate he's damn lucky to have you as a Mom! :)
