So scary.  Even though they're on recess, we can still call our representatives and register our views with the person answering - to get their phone and fax #s, here's an easy way - http://www.congressmerge.com/onlinedb/

This was put on my face book and I am just trying to help .. if any one might know please let me know ,, maybe some family might like to have this pic . of a son ....

Will everyone who sees this picture share it and its story on your wall. This picutre was discovered at the S Spgs Goodwill store by Teresa Aguilar. She bought it in hopes of finding the owner or relative of this young man because it just wasnt fitting for his picture to be in the Goodwill bin! AMEN Teresa! There is no barcode, no writing, nothing on the back of it or the frame to give a clue of who he is. The local Goodwill Store receives mdse from other Goodwills in its district which includes the Paris, Mt. Pleasant, Greenville, MkKinney, Sherman and Denison areas. If you live in those areas or know people that do, please share and ask them to do the same. There is a story behind this photo...one doesnt just get rid of a photo like this! Someone passed away, lost their home, their belongings, but there is someone out in this world that would be thrilled to have this photo come home, either to the sailor in the photo or his family.Lets all do our part to reunite them...he proudly served our nation and we owe him this at the very least! Thank you all and God Bless Teresa Aguilar for her rescue and efforts to reunite this photo with its family!

My son is on Enterprise and will be looking for housing just south of Newport News in a couple mos. in anticipation of Enterprise being moved over to the shipyards this summer. He wants to be across the tunnel to avoid the traffic.  Currently, he is staying with his sister(navy also)in Norfolk, who is xferring to Mayport soon.  Any suggestions on decent housing. This will be his first time being alone and I would like him to get a townhouse or condo so there will be people around and hopefully he won't spend all his free time on his computer!  I'm a mom and I worry about him.  Thanks for any help.

My Sailor's car is currently in Long Term Parking. I met with the staff there and they are very nice. He is paying an extra charge each month to have them start the car and paid extra to have them disconect the battery. Have a car cover of your own and they will putit on or they have car covers and of course there will be an extra charge. They require 1/2 down when leaving the car and the remaining upon return from deployment. I felt completely safe as there are hundreds of cars there.

My point exactly...priorities are wrong. Not pointing fingers or bashing anyone.

Theresa...First off, I don't mean this as an attack on our Congress and President. When I saw the budget cut of our sailors the first thing that cane to mind is because Congress and our President waited intil the absolute last minute on our fiscal cliff...(knowing when the deadline was) spent in excess of 7 million dollars to fly to Hawaii for Christmas, come back to DC, and fly back for the second half. Priorities are not straight.

Theresa, do you have the meeting details?  I'll pass it along in the iwo & Kearsarge groups.

To loriLAB-

What kind of food do you like? If you like seafood and money is no object-:)-Captain Georges is a great place-all you can eat crablegs and of course everything else including dessert.

We have all the regular restaurants like everywhere else.

If  you like Greek food we have a restaurant called Orapax. Delicious food!

Enjoy your time here!
