OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Events

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Its that time of the year and Operation North State "Peace on Earth - Because of You!" is taking request for the Christmas Box Project. If you know of someone in the military ( any branch) who is from NC you can request a box for them. Actually if you know more than one person you can send in multiples. Before you start the process get your recipients Name, address (military address) and T shirt size. I urge you to get this done ASAP cause they have only a limited amount to send out. These boxes are FULL of goodies. I remember last year Cameron said his contained M&M's Crunch Bars, Oreos, peanuts, texas pete, bar soap, peanut butter crackers, gum, a couple of nice T-shirts and more. Your military recipient does not have to be deployed but have a military address ( FPO AP-AO). Please take advantage of putting a smile on a military man or woman's face. Gavin told me that there is so much that he shares with his shipmates. Remember SHARE THIS ON YOUR PAGE. Get the word out!! Thanks. Please pass this along. I have shared this message on my Facebook page. I have 2 sons/sailors and this is the 2nd year they have gotten one. They said that the boxes are packed FULL. You can get the info from their facebook page or their website operationnorthstate.com. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
