Prayers for your grand daughter.  So glad that her daddy was home for her birthday!  My sailor's ship came home on the 16th, in time for him to spend 1st anniversary with his bride.  We were blessed to go up to WA for the homecoming, it was such a thrill to see and to meet all the wonderful people who were all there for the same reason, to see our sailors come home.  All the vendors, with free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, donuts and all their swag, the music by the Navy band, just all the people there with one thing in common, and of course our almighty God giving us the blessing of the sun breaking out as the ship came into their berthing.  Just an amazing day.  While our sailor didn't get leave to be home in time for Christmas, my husband and I celebrated with him and his wife a little early.  So our family was blessed with 2 Christmas celebrations, one in WA, one here home with our youngest son and his girlfriend.  So 2014, here's to more wonderful things to come.  We make life as we choose, choose well and may God bestow wonderful things in all our lives.  God bless our sailors, God bless ALL Navy families.  Cheers!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas celebration. Now, we are onto New Years - and I pray that all goes wonderfully for everyone. We are all healthy, and that is a good thing.

For those of you who know our six year old granddaughter will have her next surgery in a couple of months. Prayers are always appreciated. I think that this is number three or four for her with her cleft pallet and lip. She turned 6 on the 21st, and her Dad (our Sailor) could be with her. Wonderful blessings. Thank you for your prayers.

No, I was alone just for the morning. Marsha told us her plans for her life, yeah she wants to move out-of-state. So next month I will have an empty nest, with three adult kids in three different states. Well, at least she is NOT joining the miltary, Thank God for that.

Sounds like you weren't alone at all. Merry Christmas!

Good morning, I woke up Christms morning all alone but it was ok. 1st time since I got divorced that I haven't traveled somewhere for Christmas. I called my Mom and my BFF. Then Glen came over about 1 pm and we went to his brother's. Marsha got home a little later so we came back and I fixed a small dinner for three.

Merry Christmas from Northern California McKinleyville!   I wish I could meet all of you someday.   My sailor/corpsman/greenside is on duty today, so no Christmas with him.  He is hoping to come home soon.   I hope so!   Mele Kalikimaka!
