Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thank you Linda, that's very sweet. I wish I didn't live so far out (in So. Sac). Maybe some time someone will come from this way. My Mom lives pretty close to where you guys were meeting though.

Ah, I really hate missing get-togethers.  I have had a wonderful time when I've made it.  Hubby is laid up right now with back problems so I'm w/o transportation.  Hoping he'll be back behind the wheel and all better soon.  I'm happy everyone had a great time. (((HUGS))))

Linda....I have an extra machine so the next time we get together to sew I think we will sit you down and give you the basic sewing instruction and get you hooked on sewing.

You guys are great.  Had a wonderful time getting together with all of you!  Yes we did cover a record number of topics in two hours. 

 

Navy daughter say to say thank you to all of you for the support yesterday.  It was the first time she has gone out in three weeks.  Thank you all my friends for the support. 

 

Alaina and I plan to go fabric shopping next Monday.  So if anyone wants to get together for UFO day the following weekend let me know.

Yes, we are on for Sunday.  Looking forward to seeing everyone, hope some of our new members can come.  Just look for the group of mom's talking and sharing pictures if you don't know who we are:)
