Nic's Mamma....the sewing day is a great day to spend time with your fellow Navy Mom's.  We started doing this several years ago to support one of our mom's in her effort to provide pillowcase to her son's ship.  From there we have annually gotten together to sew pillowcases for the Wound Warrior project at the Navy Hospital,  in Bethesda Maryland. Most of us that are sewer's, cut fabric from our stash's and bring to sew.  We bring our sewing machines and ironing boards and spend the day together.  Last year we made 60 pillowcases to donate.  I will be posting more on this.

Spring.....Hope you still have your stash of fabric?

I will post more in the next few weeks.  Mark your calendar for Meet and Greet - Sept 21, 2013.  We will be using ST Marks' Church in Citrus Heights on Birdcage Lane.  I have to verify with the church as to what time we can get in that morning. .Lincoln Linda warm up your iron and ironing board!

Hi Ladies,

I joined this group a while back, but wasn't able to attend any M&Gs and honestly haven't had time to hop on N4M.  My daughter recently got married and I was so busy with all the details of the wedding.  Now I'm ready to meet everyone and have some fun! :) I'm a big time sewer and would love to help out on the Wounded Warrior Pillow Case Project.  Where can I find all the details, i.e. location, time, and place.

OMG....Hello Ladies. It has been way to long.  Work has been crazy busy, we are supposed to be slowing down next month... one can only hope. I put the Pillow Case M&G on my calendar.

My sailor is out to sea on a training mission for 25ish days. This is her second one missing her lots. She is loving VA and doing great otherwise.

HI there,

I will actually be in Sacramento on Thursday for work stuff and will be free in the evening. I dont have a vehicle myself as I am traveling w/ co workers. I know its last minute but would love to meet some people if anyone is available? Just let me know or not.

Sewing pillowcases for the Wound Warrior Project.  This has turned into an annual project.  We get together and assemble, sew and iron pillowcases that benefit the Wound Warrior project at the Navy Hospital, Bethesda Maryland.  In the next few days I will add an event on the bulletin board above.  This is a fun day to make a difference.  Lincoln Linda get your ironing board ready!
