Hi Vickyrun, the hills are gorgeous. I'm up in Mariposa County, just outside of Yosemite. The poppys have begun to bloom and the falls in the park are running, it's absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the welcome.

Paymaster - thank you for the warm welcome and the reminder of how prescious those memories are. My sailor has been in the Navy for over 4 years now. This is his 2nd deployment, the previous one was to Iraq. He is a Corpsman, currently working with a surgical unit in Afghanistan, from what I understand he's working with traumas. He loves what he does and I am very proud of him and all our sailors. I live in the foothills up in Mariposa. I thank God for this website and all my fellow Navy Moms, I don't think I could get through this without you all! Bunkerbee, thank you for the warm welcome and invitation to the meet and greet, I'll see what I can do.

Bugsmom....Welcome to our group. Its been a number of years since I have been with my son on mothers day. When they are not with you, your mind your goes back to time when they were. Memories are wonderful.

Tell us more about you and your sailor.

Happy Mom's Day to you all! My son is currently in Afghanistan, this will be my first Mom's Day having him deployed. His previous deployment was to Iraq, luckily he was home for Mother's Day that time. I just joined your group today, so I haven't had the chance to get to know you all as of yet, looking forward to it. God Bless!
