Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Tee-1sailor's mom on April 30, 2010 at 7:26pm: Cat 1, I love sewing but never had a serger. My daughter and neice took a class when they were about 8 and had a lot of fun. I'd try to google the model # and see you can get an instruction manual for it. Good luck and enjoy the nice weather this weekend.

BTW, got a text from my sailor saying "first day PT over, piece of cake. LOL

Serger is a multi needle/thread machine. If you look at your cloths that you are wearing right now and look at the seams on the inside of your clothing the stitch on the seam is made from a serger. Its a great machine if you sew alot :)

Paymaster, I'm in for May 16. If my daughter is off that day I'll bring here too, she's very close to her brother and would love to meet some Navy family.

Most of my family is in CA with one brother on the east coast. My sailor Chrissy is still in GL, hoping to get orders for San Deigo soon. She misses CA! I hope you all have a nice weekend.
