Good morning, Jodi. It's nice to see you're back from your travels. I sprung for a serger sewing machine 5 years back. It's the best thing. I don't quilt like you do, just fashion sewing, but it's a life saver. My daughter is trying to borrow it from me now. Hum, do you think I can trust her with my baby?

Welcome Jill!!!

I am just back in town from my fabric shopping spree in Washington. Spent $$$ on fabric and bought a new serger. Broke now!

I will look around for a place for us to meet in Fair Oaks.

Happy Monday Morning. Welcome Jill.
Do we want a banner that we can use for our M&G's? There is a great thougth.
I am getting ready to leave for St.Louis - my church lady work.
The Blue Star moms are wonderful - looking forward to us walking with them in the Constution Day parade in September. They are reaching out to the local recruiters as well - through Friends of Nevada County Military. They are doing awesome work.
Have a great day - and week. I'll check in next Tuesday or Wednesday. ~S

Vicktrun, Mikey has been gone since August last year. Every day I have something I want to share or say to him. Those cell phone "fixes" are wonderful. Being able to hug him in December was next to heaven for me. Occasionally he will even send me a note via facebook or email. Those things are valuable to me as I am sure they are to all of us. I have been told that they are equally imprtant to our sailors and firemen. (My son is technically a fireman. He get's sortof upset if I call him a sailor, since he hasn't been on ship yet.) the time between classes does take awhile. My hubby calles it "Hurry up and Wait". Seems that is the same in every branch of the Military. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. Take care and be safe.

Hi everyone, I got to talk to my sailor yesterday. He's pretty bored on the weekends but hoping to class up next week. Praying for that to happen. He's certainly learning patience!

Can't help missing our sailors - just being moms. :(
I made this card, printed on 8.5 x 11 paper, folded in half. The inside is available for handwritten messages. I used a smooth card stock. Hubby thought if they are going to Marines, they may not like sailors on the front! We'll just have to do another batch then. If anyone wants the participate, I can post the pdf file in a Mollys Adopt A Sailor project discussion. If anyone wants to participate in this group, I can change the back.

Hi Nor. Cal. Moms,
I am missing my sailor girl today. I went to the Great Sutter Creek Duck Race today, but it wasn't the same w/o her. Hold On to the good memories, right? It was nice that she spent alot time with me last year before she left. Her 1 year Navy anniversary is getting close.(May 27th) She is still in GL, I hope she will be done there in June and come home for a visit. Navy Hugss ~ Vicky
