Young Love. Ah yes. We had this terrific idea of renting a house in Hawaii (where our sailor is) for a month. We could use it for 2-3 weeks. He and his visiting gf could use it for 2-3 overlapping weeks. Our younger son was thrilled had invited several friends to join us. Sailor nixed the idea immediately - informed us spring would be better - gf is there with him now. It's OK. I think he is planning something big - she has been waiting patiently for 5 years - he should just go ahead and pop the question.
Marsha, Sharon E. - I might take you up on helping with the newbies group.
Big hello to Monica, Vickie, Vernita, Janis, Noe, Debbie J., Naomi, Lori, Christine, Vickyrun, Salsa Jody, Cindy, Martisu, Raylene, Katherine and New-sexy-photo-TrekkieDad.

Monica - My son is almost 23 and he was so lucky going into the Navy because he had my daughter who was an MP for 5 1/2 years and my son-in-law is an officer in the Navy ( hes a doctor ). I just hope all of our precious sailors are safe and that their special angels are always with them.

Don't worry Monica - my son complains about everything also! It's just his nature. Treasure those e-mails during deployment, I kept every one of them. And don't expect any phone calls on port visits - I didn't get one! Or a postcard either, but I got lots of phone calls from the ship.

My son is 23 and in Afg for the past few months, all I can say is that my heart won't be the same until is back on American soil, but we all feel that way about our children. We went to the Fish Market in PA on Wednesday. Yesterday I made grilled prawns, served with stir fried broccoli & onions. Today we had prime rib. Tomorrow, I am having Slimfast for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Getting things square away for the new year. I invite some of you to drop in on a new group I have been involved in - NEW MOMS STOP HERE. I had not meant to get so involved but got caught up in the spirit of providing a soft landing for new members - you all remember how hard it was. If fact, we could use more experienced moms in the group. But I will be backing off fairly soon from - I have a couple of big projects at work. One thing I have discovered is that our little Nor Cal group is sure comfy and warm. I can't recall one disagreement/argument. It's my security blanket.

Hi Nor Cal gang. In case anyone ask why we should be worry about spam, here is an excerpt from my last comment on BE ON THE LOOKOUT, PRACTICE HAVING "SAFE" FRIENDS. These two ladies are NOT real. They look like photos from a Eastern European Pick A Bride catalog. Maybe I am just the suspicious sort. The one I am mad is are the new admins. I sent them a very pointed letter last week. If I don't get any answers, I am going to NING headquarters in Palo Alto (that the company that has provide the platform for this N4M network. I am getting out to eat dessert.
"Here is my analogy. You find out someone you have invited to your holiday party has the flu. She wants to come anyway. Sure you can take Theraflu, chicken soup, stay in bed, go see the doctor after partying with her. Or do you ask her not to come. My preference is to tell her to stay away."
BTW, as your admin, I am the only one who can send out a message to the group.
