Hello Northern California Navy Moms, I joined this group this morning. My daughter came home on 12/15 and I have to take her to the airport tomorrow. It's been a wonderful 12 days. I dredging the goodbye. Her first deployment will be on Jan 2nd and on Jan 3 is her birthday. I wish she was was 4 years old again, I would do it all over again.

I know this is what she wants, I support her 100%. Looking forward to getting to know some of you. This website has been my life saver since she left for Bootcamp on July 8, 2009.

Hi No. Cal. Moms and Dad, We are enjoying a Green Christmas here in the foothills of the Sierra mountains, but the mountains do have snow on them, which is perfect. My sailor was tried of the cold @ GL and wants a sunny California Christmas, which she will get, as no rain/snow is forecast until after Christmas. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas. If your sailor can't be with you, I thank you for your sacrifice, my prayers are with you and all our sailors. Navy Huggs ~ Vicky

Hi Nancy. Good to hear from you. I will be ordering a thong embroidered with the name of my son's boat on the front, a hat for hubby. I'll check to see if they have any shot glasses. I could include it with our order.

Now I need the following ladies: Dixon, dbmom, Michelle marcus mom, Proud mom, jcr707, Hannah, Navy &AFA, Meilinn & Clara luz to remove Kayleigh Hall and Gloria Lopez from their Friend List. We suspect these two profiles are bogus.

Hi Carol, congrats! My son is also in Groton and won't make it home for the holidays. He got "snow watch" Saturday night and we haven't talked with him since then, but it's sounding very cold. I look forward to hearing about your trip, please share details when you get back. We're hoping to make it back there next year. Have a wonderful trip!
