Lori, maybe just one of you could go for Thanksgiving. If one of you is left behind for the day, you can join my family. It's just three of us for Thanksgiving. Unless Paula S's daughter, who is stationed in Lemoore brings a carload of sailors! Wouldn't that be fun?

LoriLAB,
I haven't heard if he is doing the "adopt a sailor". I forgot to ask him that in my letters. Sam is on Ship 07 DIV 014.

I can do Sac. I just need plenty of notice.

Yes, I live in Dixon, work in Rocklin so Sac is good.

Hi Ladies,
I've been waiting for three long weeks since PIR and finally talked with my son today. He's been at Great Lakes on hold for a blood test mix-up of some sort. He finally flew to Groton for Sub School on Friday, with another guy on hold for a similar situation. He sounds really good and is greatly looking forward to the schooling ahead. It's his first time in the North East and he commented about the cold.

It's great reading everyone's posts, I really wish I could have made it to Bea's last month. I'm looking forward to meet and greets during the holidays and could probably host something here if there's interest in an event in Sacramento. Anyone interested? I definitely look forward to meeting many of you over the holidays.

Rvogt -- I work with a lady whose son is scheduled to leave Nov 18th - sounds like that may be the same day as your son. Enjoy your time during the next couple of weeks and know that the time in boot camp does pass very quickly.

Hi Tee -- happy anniversary! And, thanks for your words of encouragement while my son was in BC.

This is all very TENTATIVE. I think JayeLynn, who is a A school graduation (along with Noe) has penciled in something in Dec at her home for Nor Cal East Bay Meet and Greet. I think Naomi and Lori also indicated possibly hosting events for the holidays. Maybe someone could do something in Marin to Santa Rosa area. John and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon together. He looks forward to golfing with Leon and Hamid.

My sailor is coming home in Dec - don't know when. His GF stayed with us for two nights while the Bay Bridge repairs were being made but she is not sure either. Cut her commute time from 2 hours to 40 minutes. She knows when SHE is going to visit him - it's the time frame that my son said he was going to be very busy with work and we should not go to Hawaii! LOL It's a good thing that husband and I are self sufficient and can go with the flow. I don't complain because just maybe I'll be a grandma before 2020. I know, I know. I shouldn't count the embryos before they are hatched. I am praying for 2 of each sex. Seeing the wedding dress triggered this fantasy. I'd pay serious money for a nice girl to marry his young high-maintenance brother.
XXOO to all. B

Hi Moms, I havn't posted in a while. So sorry I missed the M&G at Bea's place. I hope someone puts another one together soon. My son should be heading out here in a few months. I'm celebrating my first wedding anniversary this weekend. Can't believe time goes by so fast....

Lori, my son is also graduating on 12/4. The Navy has an "adopt a sailor" for Thanksgiving. Joe can sign up for this if he want's too. Go to NFM web cite for those graduating on 12/4. There has been lots of good information from other moms. You can also hook up with moms who are in the same division as your son. There are several of us from CA and some are staying at the same hotel.

Congratulations on Joe passing all his tests!
