Welcome Barablanca, I know someone on the Reagan.

I won't be able to make it on Saturday:(  hopefully next time.  I can hardly believe it's been almost a year since we had the M&G at my house!  Time does fly.

Welcome Barrablanca!   Prayers for your successful shoulder surgery.

If you find you can get away on Sat we are getting together this Sat, see above.

Enjoy you visit with your sailor.

Hi, we recently relocated to Courtland from Livermore. My son is an IT on the USS Ronald Regan. I think I met a few of you at the meet and greet in Vacaville. I think we are having our mid life crisis as we are renovating an old Victorian out on the river. Keeping busy with moving and renovation does help with missing the sailor son though. He is coming home next weekend as I am having shoulder surgery. His ship is in dry dock in Bremerton but his homeport is in San Diego. Luckily, his CO is very liberal about allowing chits to to visit family back in Ca as most of the sailors left their families behind. We know a deployment is looming so we are using up airline miles and Southwest deals to see him as much as possible.

Just wanted to share the lovely Thank you note we got for our Christmas pillowcases.  I hope that you ladies can again join me this July to work on this very rewarding project.

I just wanted to THANK YOU SO MUCH for the Christmas Pillow cases that you sent to Luke!!  The patients at Walter Reed LOVED LOVED LOVED them!  We were even able to get onto the PTSD ward this year and that was really special to those Heroes!  Every Hero that we saw got a gift bag full of goodies including your pillow cases!  They truly appreciated them and it brought some cheer into their rooms.  I wish I could take pictures for you - but hospital rules are "No Pictures" of inpatients.  I could actually get in a lot of trouble if I took pictures :(  Anyway...just wanted to thank you and let you know how much they were loved and appreciated!

Good morning Ladies!  I will miss the M&G again this time but I have a VERY good reason :)  Sam the Sailor is graduating from Power School in SC and we get to be there!  Have a grand time and hugs all around!

Happy New Year everyone!

I have updated my page with a few photos. I hope that you will check them out. Here is a quote from our sailor son:

Ok every one... I going on a vacation, paid for with your tax dollars. I will be enjoying the luxury of a multimillion dollar facility and will do every thing in my power to ignore every one for the next few months. I hope to come home recharged and ready to handle all the little problems that arise while I am gone."

We are praying that all will go well for him as he resetablishes his qual record. I'll try for Saturday - we will see.

The Linda's are hosting a Meet and Greet on Jan 12th  You can RSVP by clicking on the post above.  Just beware that when you RSVP the date will come up as the 13th.  Since I am not the one that made the orig post I can not change that part.

But they want to meet on Sat. Jan 12th.  Hope you can all make it.

Vicky sorry Chrissy is going to be so far away from you. I know it's been rough since she's been on the East coast. We miss our sailors like crazy I know. My girl is current on her second deployment. Thankfully she writes often and has called a few times. Always nice to hear their voices. Spain is a beautiful country. Best wishes to all in this New Year!

Good morning, Happy New Year all! Thanks Tee, I hope the same for you. Chrissy will leave on her second deployment later this year, she will be forward deployed to Spain.  I am not sure when, but the Spain part was already in the news, so ok to say it here. She tried to cross-deck to another ship so she wouldn't have to go but that didn't work out. She said she is going to Spain. Some family members already thinking of going to visit her there.
