I have both my boys home - that is the best gift ever. Also, older son surprised us with news that he is now married - they have been together 6 years. Will do a ceremony in the future. Happy, happy holidays.
Alaina...If you can't say what you want here, where else can you.
The holidays are a hard time. I know I am miissing my parents, wishing they were here to welcome the new baby.
Family and friends are here for you. Love you all!
Merry Christmas from the North Coast of California, McKinleyville! I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas. I plan on singing and playing at church tomorrow morning, and then cooking a turkey for my husband and me. My sailor/corpsman son will not be home again for Christmas unfortunately. Love to all of you!
Mary
Jody, that is an awesome message - thank you. Merry Christmas everyone. If you want to hear "Mary did you know?" please check out my facebook page. It was an AWESOME Chrismtas celebration at the North San Juan church yesterday afternoon.
Merry Christmas Eve everyone. I hope you have a good one even if you can't see your sailor. We always make do - cause we are Navy Moms!
MERRY CHRISTMAS !
Today...I wish you a day of ordinary miracles-
A fresh pot of coffee you didn't have to make yourself.
An unexpected phone call from an old friend.
Green stoplights on your way to work or shop.
I wish you a day of little things to rejoice in...
The fastest line at the grocery store.
A good sing along song on the radio.
Your keys right where you look.
I wish you a day of happiness and perfection-little
bite-size pieces of perfection that give you the funny feeling that the Lord is
smiling on you, holding you so gently because you are someone special
and rare.
I wish You a day of Peace, Happiness and Joy.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour
to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to
forget them.
This is the last project I had to finish. The stocking on the left was made by my mother in law many years ago. She has made all of her children's stocking when they were little. Then as they grew up and married she continued to make them for us DIL and grandchildren. I have now made stockings for all my DIL and grandchildren. These two are for my new SIL and grandson.
Made my trip to the grocery store this morning. It I don't have it now we just don't need it. Don't plan to go back out to the stores til after Christmas. Family and friends are gathering at our house this afternoon to meet our new Grandson, Brenner. Tomorrow is brunch with my dad and Rachael and family. Monday, is our day to make tamales at my sisiter's and gather with my siblings. Tuesday is home with friends for dinner.
We hope to see the Navy son sometime after Christmas. We are bless that they are here in state.
I hold those that can not get home for the holidays in special thought.
I hope you all get to talk with your loved ones this Christmas. Wishing all the best for this holiday!
Come January I think we need to get together for a lunch! So think about some dates that will work for you and let me know.
Love you all!
Thank you Amen NS. Praying for your daughter, my mom has had MS since I was 17 and it's been a long road. She keeps going though, that German stubborness ya know! Very sweet of Owen to do that, sad that he doesn't get to see the sailor but great that the quals will be done! Amazing in-laws you have, what a blessing!
Rachael, enjoy!!!!
How many days now Vicky? Can you believe it's been a year since we played the "how many days" game? Time sure flys.
