YEA and congratulations!!! Love sharing happy news. I'm sure that you are doing the 'HMD' - for those who don't remember that's the 'Happy Mom Dance" usually done in a bathrobe with tears of joy.

Thanks Monica, it is a new start.  Good luck with school this week.

Wouldn't this be a great day to go to the State Fair?  High Temp in the 70's.  NICE...too bad I'm working.

Jody, He said I would have to take the Zumba instructors course first. It cost alot and is in southern California. I said "No". I wish I could but I haven't even paid off my student loans from Heald.

Congrats Tee, on your new path in life. Being single is fun!

Sacramento Area Mom's - Navy Week will be at the State Fair a few times through out the week and at the River Cats game on 7/22 but there will also be Navy Day at the Sacramento Zoo on Sat, 7/21 from 9 - 4pm.  The following is a description of the event from the Zoo's event calendar...

The Zoo will take part in Sacramento’s Navy Week with Navy Day at the Sacramento Zoo.

The day’s activities will include a simulator, explosive displays, interactive experiences,

Navy members in their Summer Whites and performances by the Navy band, Destroyers.

My husband and I will definately be going.  My SR's PIR is 7/27...so the timing couldn't be better for us.  The Navy and the Zoo....can't ask for a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon.  :)

Found out yesterday that my 17 yr old is going to do his physical this Friday, and will be meeting with the Chief to choose his career path. Once he's done he'll be sworn in.
Then it's a year wait til he graduates high school.
I am so proud!
