Hi Chris!    I've been watching for those results.... bringing back memories of checking every hour about this time last year lol.   My OC son is enjoying College, he is also staying pretty busy playing on 2 soccer teams and has volunteered to coach - so far no team for him to coach....He got to come home for a bit this fall to see his younger brother's first highschool soccer game - it was good to see him!   so nice to have him only 9 hours away.   We will get to see him again at Christmas.

FY 12 results out very soon for next year's NSI class.  Blessings to all involved in the STA-21process.  Officer Candidate son is busy, busy, busy, with class, coaching and playing lacrosse.  We'll be going to Charleston to spend Thanksgiving with son and LCDR nephew, wife and daughter.

wow!  that does sound laid back.... I have been wondering what it would be like - wondering if the Sta-21 folks are treated any differently in NROTC...    I don't think Aaron thinks of these things.... but I do....lol

He goes to a extremely laid back NROTC unit. So much in fact that he is nervous for the enlisted who have to serve under these midshipmen (sorry its just the fact). But they have some fun traditions NROTC vs AROTC flag football game which was fun. He is in the higher levels (10 levels) of PT so he only goes in one day a week and they Drill one day a week. About once a month they have a special speaker they go listen too. They also volunteer (Voluntold) once a semester all day.

well I got to talk to Aaron briefly Sunday night!  the PFA was overall score, so he ended up with an excellent overall PFA - and he passed the swim with no problems ( non swimmer going in to the Navy- but worked hard since)  It was good to hear from him!

Hi, my son is currently at NSI - anyone else have someone there?  1st week down.... wondering how it is going :)   My son was worried about the run going in, he had heard 2 different things about the PFA - one needing a good high for each ( run/sit ups /push ups) or  good high overall.   He can get good high overall no problem, but was a few seconds off on the run.... can't wait to hear how he did!
