Am wondering where all the moms are of these sailors. I know there are some out there. I spoke with Spencer yesterday, and just want to find out if anyone has heard any info as far as what is going on up there in NY.

Hi Trina,
Sorry I have been MIA but I have been busy. Nick will be done by the end of this month, he has only a handful of sign offs and yesterday him and his fellow 0802 classmates went white water rafting yesterday. As far as Nick is concerned he is moving through quickly now and has not gotten his assignment for after Nuke Prototype school. I hope you have better luck with Spence's info, I know Nick is not getting any more info than necessary.

Thanks Mary
Mary - Spence did tell me they are trying to get them - 0803 class - out of there with 0802 class. They want both of them gone, so they are pushing them through before the shut down in June. Spence does not have orders yet, but according to what he told me the other night, they are very slightly behind 0802 class.

Hilda - what is the last initial of your son's name? Maybe email me and tell me his last name. I will ask Spence. Is he is MARF or S8G building? Is he going sub or carrier?

Mary - I guess same questions to you. I will look at Spence's facebook page and see if any of these guys are on there.
Oh - and I don't want to come off as a bragging parent, but Spencer is smart!!! LOL!!! I would think it is Spencer he is talking about - there are not a lot of kids out there named Spencer!!!!
Hilda - I talked to Spencer on Mothers Day - I think he said that there is a kid in 0802 that is Spencer, but he wasn't sure.
Cheryl - was he 0801 or 0802 class?
Hi all - NY is getting the testing done and students out as fast as they can. The freeze on bonuses has affected everyone but the NUKES so far. Right now they are still getting their bonuses. They are kind of an elite group. Have a great day Navy Moms, Kathy
I am more concerned about if it is true that if they don't have orders by now they are stuck there until October until the freeze lifts. Supposedly I have heard they are trying to get 0803 out of there some time in June, but who knows.
Well, I talked to Spencer last night. I was around a bunch of other people, and it was late, so I didn't get the whole story, but it is looking like 0803 is going to be there until Oct 28. I don't really know why - I think it might have something to do with the freezes going on.

I will let you know what I find out when I get more info.
That's what I heard last night from my son too. He was told that he won't graduate till Oct., very frustrating for him. He wont' tell me more.
Hilda - he is 0803? Kevin right? Or am I mistaken on the name? I didn't get a chance to talk much to Spence to find out why. I am going to talk to him again tonight.
Which building is Kevin in? Spence is in MARF. Maybe Kevin is in S8G building. What shift is Kevin on right now? Spence is on swings this week.
