For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi JanC--my son is at Goose Creek--from DIV 946 PIR 10/1/10--talked to him yesterday shortly--bad reception in his room--so we did get cut off and haven't heard back from him. When he answered and I asked what he was doing--"Polishing my boots"--I said "is this the boy that wrote me the letter from boot camp saying he hated polishing boots..."--he says "Yeah, I like to keep them looking nice". GOTTA LOVE IT. Let's stay in touch--I think we had an awesome group--I believe bonniern has another group for goose creek nukes if you want to check that out.

Hey, TxLove - good to hear from you. My son was in Div 326 - the talkative division, from all reports! LOL! I haven't heard from him other than to say he was there -Typical. I didn't know Bonnie had one started already. Do you know the name of it? No sense in having two groups going. I had texted her yesterday about this site, but she didn't mention having already started one. Where in TX are you? I'm from TX, too. In Pearland, which is about half way between Houston & Galveston. Take care and congrats on your new sailor!

Ok, Ms Jan, I am here. Txlovemom, I will post on the discussion thats in our PIR group that we are here, so we can all be at one place for the nuke stuff. I believe we will have 2 other PIR groups join us once we class up in about 2 weeks. My kids also have bad reception in their room, but should have internet by this evening so we can skype.

Bonnie, do you know what our sons' class # (or name) will be once all the PIR groups get to GC and get started? Maybe the name of the discussion can be changed to reflect that (rather than just PIR 10/1/10).

My son is really excited because he gets to mow. He has done this for the last two summers. It is one of the large batwing mowers. He said they ran 8 miles this am. He was starboard watch in the talkative 326. Such a relief to have him at Goose Creek

My boys ran 8 miles too, but that was between them, they did about 4 each. Kuddos to E.

Hi, ladies! Well, I finally got to talk to my son yesterday. It felt so good. He told me all he does is yardwork around there, so the mowing must be a part of it, and play video games and talk to his gf (I didn't even really know she was a gf until he told me he talks to her pretty much all the time, so . . . . one more thing for me to worry about. ) He seems to be having a good time spending all his money. He has nicer stuff than I do now! LOL! Well, I leave for a week's vacation tomorrow to visit my family in PA. I don't know how much computer access I will have but will want to stay in touch with you all if possible. Take care and I will be praying for our kiddos. The hard part's coming up soon.

Got a call from my son yesterday--talked for about 1/2 hr, yeah!--feels odd, because he sounded so relaxed, instead of rushed, or scripted. He told me his class is 1102, so to change that on mail when sending (think he's asking for more mail, more beef jerky & money, maybe?--LOL). He sounds good, eating well--said he's trying to keep eating healthy, so he can stay in shape--woo hoo!
--will try to get on again tonight (you know, so I won't get that "look" from my hubby, "you on that site again???") haven't got to check in with all our PIR group yet! aarrgghh!

I got the same info. class 1102. Mine are MM's, but my understanding is the ET's and EM's are also 1102. Boys will be home for christmas, hopefully, and no leave (except for w/e) after graduation when they get put on hold or T-Track for power/C school.
What has the Navy taught me? Be prepared for everything and expect nothing and like it! -
