For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

At least you know that he won't be deployed for a while. My son is serving his third year and just got off of his first deployment. Tell him to work hard - it is hard work - to get on a good ship. It can make a huge amount of difference.
Lots of studying but with other work too. They cram a lot in your head in a little amount of time.

My son was in div 323. Were any of you at the meet and greet? I was to shy to stand up and talk. I wish i had then i could have found out who else had a nuke. My boys last name is Curreri. Do any of you understand the time line yet? They dont start school till the 19th?

Im sitting here with my son, MM3, graduating Nuke School tomorrow (woo hoo). He said for A school and Nuke School, if your Sailor is unsure about anything, they should go to thier instructor and clear up any concept error for that day, very important to understand the concept, but memorize details. proper eating and sleeping habits are key. time management is very important as well. Also he just said take off from studying on Friday nights, and enjoy your time off.... thats about all I could get from him. hope this helps, from my point of view, it has been the most stressful 10 months of our lives... but worth every moment. there will be times where they feel they just cant do it (nuke school) encourage them in every way that you can. good luck...

I realize this reply is coming late, not sure if you will even get it, but my son is also in 1201MT. He is an ET. He was just home for Christmas(the first time since bootcamp) and he seemed well. There is no doubt that he is experiencing stress, but he seems to be putting it in perspective. I wonder if they know each other. My son says he has made some very nice connections with other Nukes, and the different rates banter back and forth. Since his return, he has been in touch indicating that their toughest test is this Thursday. Any news from your son?
