Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son estimates Graduation will be 24 Weeks from February 21st, 2011.

First day of technical training complete.  Comments like easy and it took 3 hours to do the home work the way they wanted it done were expressed.

1121 M/T was scheduled to have their first Quiz on Friday.  Must be out celebrating or drowning their sorrows, all non-Alcoholic of course.

Two weeks of Technical Schools are complete and second round of testing complete.

Mandatory home work hours required each night and each week have adjusted again.

Apparently anyone with a GPA of 3.5 or above has been reduced to 10 hours per week required with no mandatory daily study time.

You are certainly welcome here, this was intended for all Class 1121 sections, but I am not sure if there is a better group for Class 1121 MM moms.

 

If you find a better group please post it here and I will add the information to the header of this group

Most, virtually all, of the Class 1121 M/T members moved up to Phase III today.   Not sure if this applies to Class 1121 A, but I suspect it does because it is on a Military training track, not an academic track.

My Daughter ios in 1121 A. (MM). She phased up on Friday and got to go to theballgame in civvies! (Her sis came and got her and 3 of her friends. Another, who did not phase up with them (??) would not go because he would be the only one in uniform. Their graduation date is June 24th. If there is a better group for us, I do hope it gets posted! (Hi, JulieJake'smom!)

Graduation dates for ETs and EMs on this Discussion Forum are still estimates.  Anyone have a more official date for graduation ceremonies  Class 1121 M  ( EMs )   or Class 1121 T  ( ETs ) ???

My son is an EM who was originally in Class 1120.  He was sick a couple weeks ago, missed too much school so is now part of Class 1121.  I look forward to getting to know you and also taking advantage of our combined knowledge to get a more complete picture of what is going on :)
