Their class average was a little bit lower, but they made it through test 2!
Has Michael mentioned if they are planned to phase up to phase 2 at the end of next week?
Yup! He and some others had their special chit for overnight liberty approved. He also mentioned that a few people would be getting their car for memorial weekend (family driving it down) so there's definitely an excited buzz about phasing up. Unfortunately, they have to deal with a couple of exams, PFAs, and inspections before getting to that point so crossing my fingers that all of them do well!
Oh, they had a quiz today but it wasn't graded like their first exam. And found out Class A's tentative grad date: August 5th (if all goes well)!
They'll get through it all....and then be phased up, just in time for your visit missa!!
Awesome... that grad date is so soon! :)
I know, we were incredibly lucky! He and I mulled over about making this trip arrangement, but we were both like, ehh, why not? I was fully prepared for the decision to go either way but it's really great that he'll be able to spend the night and weekend with family instead of having to be taken back to the base every night. Is Travis planning to do anything fun to celebrate moving on to Phase 2?
I can't believe there's actually a potential graduation date for Mike's class. And you're right-- August doesn't seem so far away any more. Hey, that's when you're going there right?
I think Travis is just excited to be able to have a cold beer again :) And actually his grandparents are going to be near Charleston that weekend, so they're trying to coordinate a visit!
And yes, I will be in Goose Creek mid August! Do you think you'll go to graduation or just see him when he comes home on leave?
