DOES ANYONE KNOW IF PROTOTYPE IN BALLSTON CLOSES FOR CHRISTMAS 2012?

Sorry, Prototype does not stand-down for the holidays.

Pat , thanks for the info. Now i can cancel Christmas and go on with my life...lol>only child not home for the holidays will sad.

Prototype remains open for Christmas.   The only way I know of to get the holidays off is if you qualify and have graduation before Thanksgiving but you are still attached to NPTU or are on leave.   People in class 1201 are keeping their fingers crossed that they will fall into that category.

William, thank you i wont keep my fingers crossed. Love picture..didnt know he smoked..lol

I had heard that because it is operational, it cannot shut down or the holidays and must stay open.  For those students not already graduated and gone, the rest continue on.

my sons power school graduation is 9/14/12. reports to NY THE 28TH. So i guess he will be there making it operational :(

William, isn't 1201 graduation November 23?

Do any of you have leads to housing on Ballston NY for prototype?

My Son lived here, very nice place and a lot of Navy live here too.  there is a military clause in the lease, once they received thier orders they were able to cancel the lease no questions asked, he had a 3Br., includes cable and wifi

Well yes, that would mean graduation day for class 1201 falls on the day after Thanksgiving  (on Black Friday).   For some reason I had graduation day marked down on my my calendar as Saturday, November 24 though but that cannot possibly be right, can it?    I hope it would be possible for them to get a good deal and get Thanksgiving day off since they all qualified by then and are just taking up space Lol.   Then they could come back the next day and graduate.   Either way my family will be in Ballston Spa for the graduation.

Diane, the Navy has a special housing department just for BS apartments.  Your son should have been or will be invited to a meeting to learn all about what is available and suggestions on for where is good and where to stay away from.

Regarding Prototype graduation the day after Thanksgiving - That's horrible that it is Thanksgiving weekend as it is extremely expensive to fly over a holiday ... especially when it is from Washington to NY !!! UGH  Guess I'll have to tell the rest of the kids - too bad, so sad, I'm heading to NY for Thanksgiving.
