Hi everyone! This is my first post on Navy For Moms. I'm not a mom, just a Navy girlfriend :). I'm going to visit my Sailor soon for the first time. Does anyone have some info they could share?

Some questions I have:

Do I need to make reservations for the villas? If so, how much time in advance?

Do I need to make the reservations or does my sailor have to?

What kind of payment is required?

Are MapQuest directions accurate?

Anyone know about how much time they can spend with us while we visit?

Any more info/advice is greatly appreciated!! :)

Thanks,

Missy :)

So... I was just about to respond to this... When I saw your name. I think we're Facebook friends! :)

Reservations for the villas can be made 2 months in advance (sometimes 3 depends on who you get when you call). If it's a Power School grad. weekend or holiday weekend, you're going to want to book ASAP. For those weekends, they also require payment up front. No refunds. I'm not entirely sure on the cancellation policy other than those weekends since those are the only weekends we've stayed. :P

Your sailor has to make the reservations (or someone with a military ID).

How much time depends on the phase. :)

Hi Emily! yes, we are! :)

Thanks for the info!

Would you happen to know what the nearest hotels are?

Uhm. We stayed at the Sleep Inn in North Charleston on time.

It just depends on how nice of a hotel you want...

There's a Days Inn really close to the beach in Goose Creek, but I would never feel safe there by myself.

North Charleston is about 20ish minutes away, and it's a better area. I'm at the Holiday Inn Express right now--it's a little pricier, but that's because we splurged for our one night we would have to ourselves. :P

If you search North Charleston, there should be a lot that pop up. :)
And NavyMomLG is right-- If you look through the discussions there will be one titled something along the lines of "Hotels- Staying in/around Goose Creek" Lots of reviews and advice there. :)

Thanks! :)
Welcome Sailorsgirl! The are a couple of discussions on this site that will answer your questions, just click on the Show All under NUKE moms Discussions where you started this one. Enjoy your visit!
Thanks! :)
