Has anyone stayed in the Foster Creek Villas in Charleston? I was wondering what all is supplied - sheets, towels etc   and what I need to take with me.

We stayed several times while our sailor was at Goose Creek and LOVED the Villas!   Towels, linens, pots, pans, dishes, dish soap are provided.  A full size washer & dryer are also there, so you can do your laundry before you go home-no dirty stuff to pack!   We did have our own toiletries, and bought paper plates, laundry soap, and that type of stuff.  Very peaceful, roomy, and so close to the base housing our kids were in.  Was also able to pick up free wi-fi from the nearby RV park.  I'd stay there again  in a hearbeat!  Your sailor has to make arrangements for you.  Have fun!

Thank you for the info! We are going to spend his birthday weekend with him in a few weeks and I was so happy to be able to reserve one of these villas so I have full kitchen to be able to bake him a cake and his favorite meal. Couldn't do that in a hotel.

Can your sailor stay with you overnight since it's on base or do they have to go back to their barracks?

Our son was able to get a "chit" to stay overnight with us for one night and is going to check into getting approval to stay with us for two nights.

we are planning on going down in april.   are the villas located by the rv park or in the same area?   do the bedrooms have only one bed?  sorry to be asking so many questions.  just would like to know.

Tina - yes - the villas are located near the RV park.  We walked through it. It has been a couple years since we were there and I honestly don't remember about the beds.  We stayed in a two BR and a three BR.  If no one answers, I would call the ITT number at the base.  That is the dept that makes the reservation, I'm sure they would be able to tell you the set up. I'm going to look in the old posts - there are some pictures somewhere.  Will let you know if I find them.

I sent an email to the ITT Office inquiring about the beds and linens and have not gotten a response from them. If I find out any info about the beds, I will let you know. The Villas are right near the RV park.

I stayed there over Thankgiving and we loved it!  I am staying again next month for a short weekend visit.  I stayed in the three room villa there were only 1 bed in each room. I do recommend bring your own pillow.  I too loved the fact that I could do all my laundry before I came home.  Even ended up doing a seabag full of laundry for the sailor.  I brought all the normal toiletries and brought some extra cooking pots pand and utensil that I just couldnt cook Thanksgiving dinner with out.  The villa we stayed in had 1 full bath and 2 half baths.

Do they have BBQ grills?

hey! thanks for any info and help you gals give. i will make sure we take pillows! and maybe some extra pans.

I have pictures of the three bedroom villas on my page. I cooked dinners several times for my son and as many of his friends he wanted. It was fun. We did have a bbq and I purchased a set of pots/pans at Walmart for $18.00 (same set as at the Villa) as needed more and  was going to leave it but a married couple needed it so gave it to them. The four bedroom villa's couch made into a bed I was told by someone else. When I was there with all three of my sons, one slept in second bedroom with a double bed, one in third bedroom with a twin bed and third son slept on the couch (the master bedroom had a queen bed). There were extra pillows and blankets in the closets. I miss being able to stay there now that my son is on to the "Fleet".

Forgot to add, my sailor stayed with us both times we were there. At A School graduation we (my husband) took him each morning to class (we got there on a Wednesday. We had driven his car to him so only had the one) then after graduation he stayed with us through the weekend. At Power School graduation the same thing again (we flew there and shared his car).
