Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello,
I'm trying to move down to Goose Creek by the end of April and have just begun looking for jobs! Trying to get some stable employment before I move as I'm leaving a very good job, but I miss my man :). Anyways, I have a Bachelors in Social Sciences, and am working as an Operations Analyst for the mortgage department for Bank of America. I've also worked for Social Services for HEAP, and for Ingram Micro as a vendor licensing specialist. Any ideas, leads or tips would be great!!!!

Hi! It really depends on what you want to do. If you are open to administrative or communication related positions (marketing, PR, HR, etc.) I would try schools like the College of Charleston/Charleston Southern and hospitals like Trident, East Cooper, or MUSC. These are someone large organizations which often have vacancies in one department or another (I looked briefly for jobs in Nov 2011 and there are plenty more schools and clinics/hospitals in the area). It would certainly help a lot if you have your own car. From Goose Creek, downtown Charleston is 20-40 minutes away (depending on traffic) and surrounding towns like Mt. Pleasant and Summerville are good places to look.
This could be an off shoot, but is there a way for you to stay with your current job but work from "home?" I managed to work it out with my company and it's actually going really well (I work for an event planner in NYC). Just a thought! -
