OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Mary m&m...1405...Prototype..BS... I spoke with my son Friday....I told him I couldn't make the prototype graduation.... He understood that I will be away ... Leaving for a cruise that day..:he passed his 100% systems test.... No date yet for his Orals/boards....and he is waiting for his orders... What air craft carrier he will be assigned to.....nail biting....tapping...I know he has to go ... Just hoping that it won't be really far away... Even tho he asked for Japan as his first choice...so while I don't want him to go far.. I want him to get what he wants.... Does anyone else identify with that.... I'm sure you all get that... Anyway... Finall we have a warm beautiful day here at the Jersey shore.... 70 degrees... We have been waiting so long for nice weather...SO I'm heading to the beach/Boardwalk... Have a great day everyone.... Congratulations to all our men and women who have passed their Orals/boards....talk to all soon... Mary S...
