I want to ship my son's car to him while in A school, and was wondering if anyone has information on a reputable carrier..I've only read horror stories online. Thank you.

We shipped our son his car last year at Thanksgiving and didn't have any issues. Cost was $795 from So Cal to Goose Creek. The gentlemen I was in contact with was Roy....he was very helpful. They picked it up on 11/22/13 and it arrived on 11/27/13.

Oh my goodness, you're an Angel. Thank you so much. You don't know how much we've been looking. We would also be shipping from So Cal to Goose Creek. Thank you, so much...
I just hope that Roy is still there - he was such a great help (although I'm sure anyone there can help you). And I actually got this from another navy mom back when I was looking. Happy to "pay it forward!" If you have any more questions feel free to message me.
Thank you. By the way, can you tell me where the car was delivered? Was it on base?
No we made arrangements to have it delivered to the Food Lion parking lot that is just outside of the base. That way they had room to unload it. The driver had my son's cell phone & he called him when he was a few hours away to give him an ETA. Then he called once he was about 30 minutes out and my son got one of his buddies to give him a ride over. Was very quick....Be advised you pay a deposit to the transport company but you have to pay either cash or cashier's check to the driver upon delivery. That seems to be standard with all shipping companies (at least the ones I called).
