For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

New Nuke Moms Fall 2011
I can't keep track of all the new arrivals. Know that there was a class from BC PIR last week of Oct with over 20 Nukes, PIR 11/4 had at least 8, believe there are some more in the next few classes. Would like to have an easy referral site so I can remember that all of you are in about the same stage as my son. Probably going thru alot together.

my son did PIR on 11/4 and is at Nuke school. He said he loved the first few hours and then started hearing about how much time he would actually be spending studying! He believes that he will start classes (MM) on the 20th

PIR was 10/28 for us. My son is studying for MM. No word yet when class will start. He did say Tues they have about 70 now in Indoc.

Wow! 70 in Indoc! Amazing how many nukes there are. I'm hoping mine gets back to GC to be in class relatively soon, but there were only 3 ETs in his PIR group.

My son's PIR was September 16. A school class 1201MT. he is an EM.

My son is almost done with A school (EM) and there is a lot of studying. He puts in about 25 hours a week in addition to class time but seems to have adjusted and has time on the weekends to hit the town and do some fun stuff too. Good luck to all your new NUKES.

Talked to my son yesterday - he told me that a new MM class will be starting soon, but he will have to wait for the next one to start after that because we're at the end of the alphabet. He thinks the one will start next week and then another that he'll be in hopefully the week after Thanksgiving.

Wow! That was fast. Must be all about the timing. My ET says he wont class up until December - he is here packing moving truck and then driving across country.
