I can't keep track of all the new arrivals.  Know that there was a class from BC PIR last week of Oct with over 20 Nukes, PIR 11/4 had at least 8, believe there are some more in the next few classes.   Would like to have an easy referral site so I can remember that all of you are in about the same stage as my son.  Probably going thru alot together.

My son PIR'd on 11/10/11 and is currently still in Great Lakes on grad hold.  They lost some paperwork from his "special physical" so he has to do it again.  Hopefully he will be down in GC soon, but for now, we'll happily take the extra three days with him.  His orders, before they discovered the paperwork issue, were to start indoc on 11/23 and classes on 11/30.

So good that you get to spend time with him.  Mine left this morning for the drive from CA.  Best we could do was Veterans Day at the Olive Garden.  Was actually very nice, they had Free Entrees for Active and Retired Military.  So both son and Father-in-law qualified.

My son PIR'd 11/4 and is at Goose Creek for Nuke school as well. Are any of you going there for Thaksgiving? We are going to spend the holiday with our Sailor since he can not come home. :( If others are going maybe we can plan a get together while we are there. I have also scheduled us to have family portraits done while we are with our sailor. There is a place that takes the pictures and you get all that you order the same day.

I am going to be there for Thanksgiving also.  The problem at the moment is that my son is still in Great Lakes!  I hope they take care of things and get him to GC in the next few days, or my trip to SC won't make much sense.  :)

Oh that stinks. well keep us posted!!!

That would be so cool to be there for Thanksgiving.  Stinks that they lost paperwork.

yes I can't wait to see my sailor again but not much looking forward to the 20 hour drive from Texas to Goose Creek!!! The hotel we got has a kitchenette. So maybe I can cook something for him while I am there.

Update!  They found the paperwork, and he will fly to GC on Thursday, exactly one week before Thanksgiving.

Anyone have class number for those starting A school today?

Alex is class 1207A - did you find out about your son's?

My son is a MM and PIR was 10/28.  He told me last week that they would start brieifings Monday (yesterday) but I don't know when his classes start.  I'll have to give him a call tonight and see what other information I can get.

My son's PIR was 9/30/11 and he is in class 1203A. He is doing well so far.

I am still adjusting to the small amount of communication. Miss him.
