Can you hear the crickets chirping?
Here I am!
I talked to my son today and he and his roomie were going to go shopping this afternoon for supplies for their room.
was he still in Great Lakes? If so, do you know when their flight is tomorrow. Who is his roomie?
He's in his dorm in SC. He got there early this morning and already had several hours of indoctrination. I don't know his roommate's name.
good luck moms. it a very intense program. My son graduated from nuke school. And now is stationed in CA. it was fun for me to visit him in SC. one thing is their hours change a lot. Like when they are on watch and so sometimes i did not get to here from him much. Its a great program!
Jennifer, what ship/division was he in Great Lakes and did he PIR 3/26? I feel like a boot camp mom again, waiting to hear something.
When did he graduate Leanne?
I thought nukes were supposed to go to EM or MM school prior to going to GC. Am I wrong about that? My son's PIR date is 4/9. Should I expect him to go to GC first? He told us his div is not g and g, and I know that can change, but I didn't know GC would be his next stop on this incredible journey. Somebody enlighten me, please?
My son graduated BC one week before yours--- PIR 4/2/10
He is in GC and yes, that is there next stop. that is all I know.
I missed his first phone call but I see him post on Facebook. He is doing lawnwork today.
that is all I know so I am reading posting and seeing what is going on with others.
Graduation is awesome !!!!
Andy - all nukes start A-school in Goose Creek. ET/EM A-school is 6 months, MM shorter. All three have 6 months of power school, followed by 6 months prototype. A school and power school is at GC, prototype can be either at GC or Balston Spa in New York. Look back thru some old posts - you will learn so much. Ask away if you have any questions, someone will be along to answer. Good luck - it is a tough but rewarding school.
