Hi there.

Any other Nuke loved ones in 1201?  Anybody?  Bueller?  (lol)

Excited to see my nuke and have all 4 of my kids home for Christmas.  May be the last one that

we're together for a long, LONG time!  :)

Best of luck to you swim...Our son begins 1/2/2012 looks like we are right behind you!

So exciting swim!- Power School already, boy has time flown by (just for us Im sure).  Glad that you will have your family together for the holidays.  I will get to see S this saturday, he is leaving S Carolina in two days, he got his transfer to NY for Protype and  will still be on grad hold for a few months when he arrives,  but were so glad to have him back in our home state..  I remember the widowmaker test, very well it was a stressful day waiting for that phone call.   actually, all of the tests in PS are stressfull for us and our Sailors,  they will be taking multiple classes at the same time, thats when it becomes difficult sooo much to learn and memorize. they will need to eat well,  get a good night sleep (every night)  and stay focused, it took weeks for everything to finally click for S, once it did, he did really well and gained the confindence that he needed.

Ill be thinking of you guys, good luck to your Sailor..

I'm in, swim4life!  Just found out my MM's class number tonight.Praying we get to attend graduation together!

Thanks, pmgcakes!  Hope your visit with your sailor went well.  He'll probably have a white Christmas

if he's headed to NY!  My little sister lives near Plattsburgh.  Don't know how far that is from Ballston Spa.??

But, upstate NY is gorgeous...

MamaCindy, so glad to hear!  Best wishes, and Merry Christmas to all of you and your families!  :)

Happy New Year, all!

It was so great to have our sailor home for Christmas.  All 6 of my kids and my 7 grandkids were here plus a few friends and one of my sisters!  We had a fun crowd and got to celebrate sailors 19th birthday on the 30th.  It's hard to believe my baby is 19!  Boy, am I getting old!

He says power school is already hard for him and he is planning to spend today working on his physics homework and studying for this week's test.  This is the first time he's been challenged, academically and he doesn't like it one bit.  I am hoping that the lesson that life is not always easy doesn't discourage him too much.

Don't know if my son is in this class or not, but supposedly he graduates on 5/25/2012.  If he is an ET, would he be in this class as well?

Just found out that YES this is the class he is in!  This has been a HELL week according to him, he is so stressed that he hasn't been able to sleep or study very well. Today, he finally talked to the instructor about the crazy amount of studying that they were having to do for one topic but were having troubles getting to doing that, because of all the homework he was giving. No homework was assigned today. Hope that bodes well and not bad for next week.  Keeping all our "guys" in prayers, cause I know if mine is stressing (Mr. Introvert), yours probably are as well.

Quilt, I called Corey last night to find out how he did on the test I thought the had this week.  He said the test is not till Mon and was glad for the extra study time.  He mentioned less homework.  He is always glad for that.  He was really dreading going back after his leave.  I'm hoping the dread was just 'back to work blues' and not regret for choosing this path.  I'm going to send cards & goodies more often to try to give him a few light moments in the midst of all the stress.  I pray for him a lot and will add his classmates to my prayers.

It seems to be really hard when they go back after a break at home. With this one being so long for Christmas, I wonder if that makes it harder. Talked to mine for just a few minutes last night but he was on his way back to base from dinner with some guys and had watch today. Hoping I can find out how he's doing before the weekend's out! Sherrey, I've already mailed a note to him - as he asked me over the holidays if I sent any since Thanksgiving. I was so attentive during boot camp, but have felt like he can contact us any time he wants to at GC, so I don't feel compelled to send things since the mail isn't our only connection. I need to think of some goodies to send him as you mentioned and try to encourage him that way.
Is your daughter EM, ET or MM? My understanding is all those graduating 5/25 are all in 1201 but they are then divided into sections that sound like what we might call classes - groups they will go through their classes together. His mailing address is Class 1201-7. 7 being the section he is in. I wonder if the 09 is her section? This is all conjecture on my part! I probably have put 2 and 2 together and come up with 47! Hopefully someone else in the group knows a real answer to your question! : )
