August 3rd 2011 our son left Boston for Chicago Boot Camp; my gosh where has time gone!  Boot grad Sept. 30, 2011; For him it probably seems a lifetime...since then many delays with

A school & Power start up and now in November 2012 (before Thanksgiving, our MM will graduate.  No date yet ...pretty sure he's with 1204 ...gonna text him but don't always get quick response

Oh Momma$, can so relate to so many of your comments - especially the text part ;)  At least we know we can text - will be harder when they are deployed and we lose that lifeline for a while :(

Leann thank God for you and this site...it is nice knowing that I am not the only Mom/Parent that doesn't hear much and no, no one said this was easy for either side. Funny how one little text and the occasional phone call means so very very much!  Anyway come hell or highwater I will be at his Graduation, November!!  As parents (speaking for all) we have some of the greatest young Men and young Ladies in this world in the Navy and other Armed services...the word Proud just sometimes doesn't sound like enuf . Elated?!!!!

I got the answer today after 4pm via text Class 1204-10 Big test tomorrow about generators praying for them all!

Yes, we will be there too.  Just started checking airfares from Phx.  Husband's hunting trip is changing our plans a little so text my sailor to let him know. . .who knows when I will receive a reply, but I do understand his time is no longer his!  He seems to take Saturdays off so if I text on Friday night will usually receive a response.  Hope all did well on their tests.

I haven't heard a graduation date from my son...  Do we know if Nov. 9th is a firm date yet?  According to his FB page, sounds like my son got out tonight for paintball and volleyball...

Yes ma'am, 11/9

Yes, I have heard 11/9 is firm, also.  Sure hoping that is correct since I have booked my flight.  S/W had a deal going for a few days - not sure if it was a "great" price but coming from Phx and golf bag flying "free" - we did it.  Don't you love FB :)  He's not on there much but always a fun surprise when I see a post from him.

Im with you Leann FB posts and the best was yesterday when the phone rang and he elevated his voice with a hint of excitement -that simple "Hi Mom".  That call was music to my ears...I need to figure out if I can record them LOL.  So anyway he says his 1204-Sec 10 has a fair share of MM's from New England any body else out there from ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT?  11/9 he said is a done deal. Got hotel gonna make flight rez in a couple weeks

I spoke with my son last night and he seemed to be doing very well, very upbeat.  He is an EM and is in 1204-1.  We are from Maine and I have made flight plans and hotel reservations for 11/9.  Can't wait!

Hi Alison,  my son is also an EM and in section 1204-1.  We are from NY Long Island and also booked our flights for 11/9.  So hope all goes as expected.

Hi Nancy,

This is so exciting.  You are the first mom that I've met here with someone in the same class as Brian.  I don't hear from him very often but his posts on facebook sound upbeat.  I hope the class is doing well.
