Got our invitation on Friday!!  counting the days, also. . . and continuing to send support and prayers for all of them and their parents.

Counting days...we will fly out 2 weeks from today!!! From RI! Am I the only excited Mom? NOT!

We're in AZ, but we're there with you, Sister!

Well when our son was a youngster we use to put it into his perspective so "5 MORE wake ups!"

and we will be there! LOL  Safe travel to you all out there Prayers and blessings to our soon to be grads !!!

I got a text message last night from my son saying that he had passed his prt.  I didn't know what that meant, but apparently it is a physical test with pushups, situps, running.  He said there is only one test and comp. left.  I'm so excited I'm having a hard time doing regular life!

Hi All, my son is in 1204 also. He is going to Ballston Spa for prototype and has to report on the 19th. Anyone else have someone going to NY? It sounds like he'll be traveling with two others, but the drive up there still makes me nervous. I did put a bug in his ear that my brother lives almost exactly at the halfway point, just outside of DC, and that might be a good stopping point for the night. But I'm leaving it up to him to decide. Hoping these last few weeks go well for everyone.

Amy

Surprised and excited that some are getting their next orders so soon.  My son has not heard anything but two of his friends who graduated a month ago are still on grad hold.  One with orders for G.C. the other still not sure. . .Good thing these Sailors have learned how to be patient.

Share your concern for the drive to Ballston Spa - good to hear your Sailor has a caravan headed up that way.

I, too, am so surprised to hear some are leaving that soon! I think our son had thought it would be months to wait. That does seem to be more of the norm. Haven't spoken to him in a few days. Don't tend to hear much on 2 test weeks.

He said they were looking for x amount of MM's for Ballson Spa and he signed up. He wants to class up again as soon as possible and his printed orders say he will soon, but like he said nothing is written in stone until he gets there. Hoping to talk to him today and see if he has housing figured out.

Love your line about "nothing written in stone"!!  I am a military brat so know that sentiment well.  After a year, that is always my nukes response when we start talking about future plans etc.

Anyone going to power school graduation from 1204-11?  I've joined the ranks of the underemployed and now can no longer go.  I would like just a couple of pics - one or two of ceremony and one of my son in uniform.  If anyone is willing, private message me and I will give you his name so that we can coordinate with your sailor and mine.  Thanks!

Hi Phoenix Mom (and anyone else who isn't able to attend graduation),

Sorry - don't know how to private message you as I don't use this site much and am not much of a facebooker. My son is in 1204-5, but my husband and I are going to graduation and we would be happy to meet up with your son after, take pictures, and send them to you. If you and/or others would like us to do that, just let me know and we'll work out the logistics.
