Our sailors will moving on to the 2nd phase of "Nuke" School. Indoc starts on Feb.9th and classes on the 13th. Since we will all be in the "same boat" together, I thought it will be nice to share our experiences.  Lets continue to support our sailors and each other!

well Colin said so far pretty good, he was made APO....athletic petty officer, in charge of his sections PT. Said his Cheif PT'd with them on Monday, stated he wanted to get in shape, well Tuesday Colin said "I think I killed the Cheif" cause he cancelled PT for Tuesday! LOL

His schedule hasnt been too tough so far, he is still able to go to the Gym in the evenings which really makes him happy!

YAY for Cindy!

i am glad your son is doing good!   i heard from my son once this week.  he said he is doing "ok".     well, the chief said he wanted to get in shape!!!lol

Spoke  with  my  son  and  says there  is  a lot  of homework  already-  didn't  get  through  to  midnight last  night.  Said  that  some  of  the  kids  didn't  finish.  He  seems  to  be  concerned  if  it  is  this  tough  already will  he  be  able  to  finish the  course.  I  advised  him  not  to  wait  to  the  last  minute  to  get  things  done and  spend  as  much  time  as  he  needs to get assignments completed. Most  of    all  ask  questions  if  he  doesn't  undersatnd  and  ask  for  help  when  needed.done.  Pleased  to  see he  had  matured to  the  point  when  he  would  stay  to  midnight to  get  everything  done  that  was  required. He  also  mentioned  that  he  has  PT  everyday.  Is  that   all  the  sections  or  just  his?

my sons section PT's everyday I believe. Maybe not though, cause I texted him at 5pm just to see how things were going, and he stated he was at the Gym and would call in a bit, then texted me back and said he was running alittle behind so was heading to chow then to do homework. Said he would call If he got done early enough, he knows Im always early to bed! If not he said he will be done early tomorrow so would call.

He is still managing his time well enough to hit the Gym! haha.........but then again that is his outlet for stress!

My son also said so far, so good! He is on Vol. study and still has plenty of spare time. He did tell me that he heard that it gets harder during the second half. However, I remember someone else saying that it gets easier. I bet it depends on what areas of material are your strong and weak points. So that might be bad news for those of us whose sailors are doing good now and good news to those who are struggling. Better yet, lets hope they have no weak points! (at least academically)

Colin has Vol hours also, which is allowing him to keep his Gym time, which in turn allows him to relieve stress!! LOL.

4 weeks in Ladies............belive his 1st test is tomorrow.

i texted with my son for a little while yesterday!!  yaa!    he said he was going into school at nine pm to get homework done.   i think he has pt a couple days a week.

i told my son the same thing about asking for help if he needs it.  he doesnt like to ask for help.   i will be praying for all of them!!

Praying everyone does well on their first power school test today. I work late tonight so I asked my son to text me and let me know how it went. We will see. Good luck everyone!

Does  anyone  know  if  all  the  sections  are  being  taught the  same  sections  at  the  same  time? My  son  says  he  is  not  alllowed  to  tell  me. He  didn't  mention  a test  when  I  spoke  with  him  on  Monday but then  again  he  probably  wouldn't  tell  me  unless I  asked.

I wonder too if they all do the same thing at the same time. Of course when I ask questions I get the "that's classified" which is really, he doesn't want to answer. I talked to my son last night and he didn't mention a test, but he was in a good mood and not stressed.

got a text from son last nite @ 10:30...did very well on first test......yay! now for the math and physics phase! Hoping all ur sailors did well!

My son also did very well, He scored highest for his section but not for the whole class. That tells me that at least some of the sections are taking the same test.
