Rosie~ Thanks for the information. I knew it wasn't going to be as elaborate as graduation from bootcamp but I still wanted to be there for my son.

@Darla in VA (Mitchell's Mom) I found it! Had a great weekend and learned a lot about the area driving wise :)

NukeMom/MM~I wish I knew more about A school graduation. When you do find out, will you let us know how the ceremony was, how long it lasted, etc? My MM graduates Jan 21st from A school and I was kind of curious as well.

Does anyone know the procedure for A school grad? I will be attending my son's graduation on December 17. What time, where, etc. I'd ask my sailor but his phone is messed up and the communication is, well, shall we say, lacking.

Does anyone here know much about the "Blue Star Mothers" Organization? It sounds like a really neat group to be a part of in supporting our troops. I'd love to hear from anybody who is currently a member.

So what address should I be putting in my GPS when picking up my sailor this weekend?!

thanks sooo much Kelli. I've been looking but it's hard to find an apartment in SC while I'm living in NY not knowing the area all the well! =]

NS and wolfpackgirl- you may already know this but i was reading your posts and i just wanted to put this one on here. A lot of the apartments close to base are iffy. but here is a goose creek apartment review website.

The only apartments that i've seen and been in were the Woodfield St. James apartments. They are really nice and right next to walmart. Maybe 10 to 15 minutes driving from the base, depending on traffic.

Well I'm sure you will get it soon! Best wishes to you. I know I've started looking. If you don't mind can you message me where you are moving to?! What kind of job did you do?
