Hey ladies-

So i just have a few questions. Mike and I have decided that we want to get married. Now i understand that he has to ask permission, and that once he has asked we can get married. But we are facing a predicament in terms of moving. Mike just started A-school. He said that in class the other day, they were told that they only have one week between the end of A-school and Power school.

I was planning on moving out between A-School and Power school, but now I am worried about base housing and being able to move on base without delaying his next set of classes. I was looking for any advice that any one could offer. I dont know how to go about this process any more, and any help is welcome. Thanks ladies!!

Thanks Dan's mom! I appreciate the warm welcome. It's very easy to get lonely with him gone so its nice to see such a large welcoming community here! This will absolutely make the waiting easier.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to say hi, I'm new :) My husband is in boot camp currently and then he's headed for Charleston! So it looks like I'll be moving a bit up the coast (I'm in FL). I haven't really heard much from him yet since he's only been in bc since the 24th but just coming onto this site and reading all the information! It's wonderful and overwhelming. There's so much to know!

That's a bit of a hard one, Phyllis. Would it be possible for them to bring the car to him?

Moms and Wives, they are very busy amongst themselves at the IKE group, but I took the liberty of telling them that all of us Nuke moms and wives are praying for our missing sailor. I'm not going to bother them anymore as they are talking amongst themselves. I hope that y'all don't mind that I said we were all praying for them. If anyone missed the link, here it is again:

Thank you Catie and Casey. On base housing do you pay for your utilities or does that all come with the cost of your BAQ? When you are first married, what is the housing like? 2 bedroom 2 bath? Are there job opportunities for the spouse?
Comment by Navy/ArmyMom on March 31, 2010 at 3:31pm
We need prayers for this missing crew member.
