Hi Ladies,
On Saturday son, Sean, took a 6 person taxi-van to Best Buy and Barnes & Noble with other nukes named Patrick, Ben, Brandon, Donovan, and Luis. Do these young men belong to any of you? :)

Congratulations Rae! Now you can rest easy.
Congratulations Darla, It must feel good to know your boy is no longer in limbo, and is starting school. :)

Hey all. I got to talk to my sailor yesterday. He finished battle stations and is officially a sailor. I was wondering what the wait list for on base housing for wives and their sailor husbands is looking like, or if any one has any ideas. I am hearing that there is a long wait right now and its kinda discouraging.

rae - I haven't been to Goose Creek yet as my son just flew in yesterday, but we stayed at the Navy Lodge in Great Lakes and it was wonderful. I think they have a Navy Lodge near all the bases.

I am going to be visiting my sailor in a couple weeks. I am planning on flying into Charleston. I am wondering what hotels are good in the Goose Creek/Charleston area. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Ladies,
You all sound really sweet. It's great how you look out for eachother and anyone new who comes along! I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.
My son, Sean, is going to Goose Creek tomorrow (24th). He's an MM and will be starting A school on Monday, March 1st.

No I havent. The majority of apartments/condos are long term leases like 12 months.. Right now it just depends on when we get married. I dont want to move out there, have signed a lease and then get married, move on base and break a lease.

Hey all-
I am wondering if any one knows if there are any apartments with month to month leases in the Charleston area.

Being from PA I wasn't particularly thrilled with the snow, but I have to say it was very pretty. :) I also heard that it had been 10 years, but it wouldn't surprise me if it had been longer!
