For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

LOL. I doubt we can but that's what my husband wants to do.. I dont know yet if he realizes it's going to be hard on all of us if he tries that. But he's scared we wont make it. But we're leaving saturday so it gives us around three days.. So I'm hoping he'll stop more than just 15 minutes every two hours. :) . Catie Are you from Texas too?

she's a girl.. Maddie.. LOL.. and she usually does sleep. Or at least she does when I go visit my family that lives three hours away. She'll be 6 months on the 10th. My name is Kelli, btw. :) . I guess we'll see how she does. My husband said he's planning on stopping every two hours for 15 minutes. That might work. Idk. We are leaving Texas at like 6am on Saturday morning.

Thanks Casey. I'm not sure when we will be there. I just know he has to be back on Monday night. It'll take us 19 or so hours. It's a 19 hour drive straight but with a 5 month old that might be really hard. Not sure how often we will have to stop.

I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I just found out yesterday that I will be moving to goosecreek on the 29th. I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

SSBN's are the best for a married couple. I am very happy that that is what i got. Carriers and fast attacks are out for 6+ months when they go on deployment, sometimes ive heard of up to a year. My deployment is usually 60-90 days and then around maybe 120 days or so until i go back out. Plus since we have two crews while they go on deployment we are in what is called offcrew where we work in a building, lots of days are very short so i get to spend more time at home, like today i didnt even go in to work =).
only bad thing is if you volunteer for submarines you really dont get to pick when you get a SSBN or fast attack
