Welcome to our group. This a great place when you're discouraged. My son left for B/C on October 8, 2009. Have you checked to see if your son's PIR date has started a group yet? If they did, join it, and you'll a lot of information about places to say,a nd what to do during PIR.

My son left fot BC on Oct. 8, and I have been feeling lost not knowing what is going on in his life. I found this web site and I am so thankful to read all the encouraging comments, it makes me feel so much better knowing I am not the only one with lots of questions.

Molleta--
Congratulations and welcome to our group. Missing your son is quite normal, cleaning his room is normal and anticipating PIR is wonderful. I am proud of your son also. Start writing letters to your son, as soon as you get his addresss, number your letters, keep them friendly, upbeat, and encouraging. If you need to vent, this is a good place.

I'm new on this site. My son left Oct. 28. We have the opportunity of going with him to MEPS until he was ready to go the airport.I miss hear his voice. I clean and put his stuff away, left a couple. I think is a way to still feel him around. He call me, the 15 second call to let me know that he was safe.Just looking forward to see him in 8 weeks. I'm so proud of him!
