Thanks Trisha-Ashleys-mom, I was worried that might happen. I am still hoping that he will PIR before Christmas but we will see. I appreciate the heads up. My fingers are crossed.

My son leaves for BC on October 12th. I'm so excited for him but at the same time I'm getting nervous! I love Navy For Moms. It it full of much needed information. It has already answered questions I would've had without this site. Thank you to all who are sharing!

Hi, My son leaves on or around Oct 27th. I am anticipating his departure. As I count the weeks i noticed he should finish bootcamp right before Christmas. I am hoping this site helps me with any questions I may have as I endure this rollercoaster. Thanks.

plus, if someone can help me figure out how to post a picture, then I won't have this ghost like avatar...kinda creepy. Every time I try my pictures are too big. I am a techno clutz in so many ways. :-)

Hi, my name is Nancy and I DO have a son leaving in October 2010. I have not seen any other postings by 2010 moms. If you are out there reading this (it's all I've been doing for the past few months, reading others postings) let me know and maybe we can figure this whole thing out. Plus it looks like we have a great resource here to support us!

Hi Dennie and Trisha--
Its hard to believe that our sailors left home almost a year ago and that most have completed A schools, and will soon. Dennie, Boot Camp was absolutely wretched for me too. A school was ok even his current deployment is much better for me, becuase we email a couple of times per week and I get to talk with him about once every two to three weeks.

Comment by mtnmom just now Delete Comment HI all;
I went to a Red Cross Blood Drive, along with other Blue Star Moms from the Fresno Chapter today. The Blood Drive was started and organized by a Marine wife who is daughter-in-law of one of our chapter members. The young Marine is deployed in Afghanistan and is scheduled to rotate home in October. There were at least 35 donors there today.
