Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yes anabel! That is right! Just the few lines on DH's form letter made me feel at ease! It's amazing what a few simple sentences can do for your day :) now can't wait to get a real letter or phone call in the next week or two = )

tmsy22...my DH left 10/28 and i just got the form letter today...don't panic yet! If something were wrong or there were any setbacks ur recruit would make a phone call home to let you know :)

Good morning all...it seems all of us had the same issue yesterday! It's funny how we are from all different places yet we are feeling the exact same thing...I miss my hubby so much! He's my best friend-about the ony person who i can talk to about anything! So, i totally know how ya'll feel...it's not my son yet but might be someday LOL Let's all try to do some shopping therapy and get over the "bumpy"day and last night(I too had a very hard time getting to sleep) Let's enjoy the day together!! Today will be much better then yesterday = D

Thanks grippersmom...I know-Christopher does have alot changing around him, sometimes I feel like I should've just stayed up north w/DH's family(where we were)just to make it easier for him...I can't blame him for acting different! I keep telling myself each day will get easier! And it will! Today was just a rough one...thanks for the ((( )))! I needed that = )

C Navy wife...someone posted a day or so ago that they eliminated the grad n go for the holidays due to ppl spending so much $ to come see their sailor and then not getting the time with them...not sure how true this is...you can email rtc and ask...go to www.bootcamp.navy.mil and go under contact-they emailed me right back(very helpful w/any questions) i hope this helps :)
