Good evening all--
Bobby is in the hotel in San Jose, and will be on his way to MEPS at 4am tomorrow morning, for the final MEPS exams and paperwork, then the swearing in, which I will miss, and finally off to Chicago.
To all the Moms, who have said that the anticipation of the kids leaving, is worst than the actual leaving, I totally, totally agree.
He was grabbed by his friends yesterday and didn't get home until after 11, and then he rambled around the house for while and went to bed. Today, I woke him up, got him moving, took him the Recruiters, and we waited there for over 2 hours while they finished everyone's paperwork. At 11, the van pulled up, and a quick hug, "I love you" and he left......but I had to put gas in the car and the recruiter did too...while I paying, he ran in and gave me an extra hug.....that was my undoing...writing this is too.

Well, may our boys and girls get the rest they need tonight, tomorrow will be a big beginning in their Naval futures. May God watch over them and bless them.

Good morning--
Today is the day I turn him over to the recruiter to begin his new life. I didn't get much sleep has night, like most of the ohter moms who sent their kids off in the last couple of weeks. One of the other moms made a comment about sleeping better after they get to BC becuase he won't be getting into "things", well I hope that will be true. I've spent many nights worrying about him, when he came home really late.

Prayers and huge hugs to Christie, Micheller, Ryan's mom and anyone else sending your kid off today.

Well, have to get this day started, everyone have a great NAVY Day and I'll catch up with everyone when I get home from work tonight. Gen

Welcome, Stacy, my guy leaves from San Jose on Thursday also. I will be saying goodbye to him at the Clovis recruiters office tomorrow. I have been remembering those special memories, too.

Hi all--
We are a chatty group, took me almost an hour to read the posts that happened after 10 p m pacific time last night. Tonight is my last night with Bobby, and he's off with friends somewhere. I will take him to the recruiter in Clovis, and they will take him to MEPS in San Jose, he will leave there Thursday.
Its not Wednesday, and I've had two meltdowns (make that three) today. I don't want to come home tomorrow night. I will be here alone, becuase its only been Bobby and for the last five years. Anyone know a cure for this????
Enough of my tears.
Carole--Hang in there, I know how you feel, I'll send you a note later tongiht.
Welcome to Anable, Vivih, Rene' and anyone else I missed.
Sammie-You're airport story was super, and you are so blessed to have your Leah.
Does it really stop hurting??? I feel like I'm drowning in my tears.
