Thanks you for the welcome, PattiP.  :-)  Congrats to you and your son. The more I learn about the nuke program, the more I realize how little I knew about it, or just how hard it is.  Yikes! That is cool that your son is being trained as an ELT.  It is sort of funny,  I was just wondering what that was, exactly, and what it entailed.  Do you have to be specially selected?  And only MMs are trained in that?  I think that would be good information to be able to have for my daughter.  Thanks again.

Good morning 8isenuff, it's not a dumb question at all. You will find it in the events, at the top listings. Sarge has a gathering for all family members the Thursday before PIR. He and his wife provide a wonderful meal and it's a chance for all the families to meet one another and get important information about PIR weekend. : ) blessings

Hello MachelMMmom, thanks for the welcome.  I have joined the PIR group, and also the Nuke group.  I am not sure what the Meet and Greet is or how to join?  Sorry if that is a dumb question.  Thanks again.  ;-)

Welcome 8isenuff to the group. Wow, two at the same time! Will you be going to GL for PIR? Go if it is at all possible, it is not something you will want to miss.

Good morning 8isenuff, my daughters PIR was on 11/1. She is in GL for her A school. Welcome to N4M, I don't know what I would have done without this site. Have you gone to your sailors PIR date group? And don't forget to join the Meet and Greet. Blessings

Hello, I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself.  I am a new-ish Navy mom, and I happened upon this group.  I have 2 SRs currently in BC, a son and a daughter (not twins) who are slated to PIR on 12/13/13.  He is in 038, she is in 040.  They are both rated for NF.  I was wondering if there was anyone else here who has that PIR date, and those divisions?  Even though I encouraged their path to the Navy, this BC adventure has been much more stressful than I thought it would be for me.
