lala, my daughter did the very same thing except they did it here. My mom got to be there though, she got a call. I didnt because I was working. My mom didnt even try to talk them out of it (guess my daughter figured as much) I would have only talked them into waiting a week, I can through together a nice little formal ceremony with a week notice because get this.....she ALREADY had her dress. She picked it out and paid for it in Pensacola. Since our stories are so similar I am now wondering if our daughters actually KNOW each other and played off each others intentions. LOL Mine promises me that they will have a "wedding" sometime this year when she can come home on leave. I am NOT holding my breath. LOL I do really like her husband though so it helps tremendously!

yeah, well my 2 said they were waiting to get married as well and then they snuck and did it at the courthouse in Pensacola. When did they do it? On Friday before Labor day as I was driving 8 hours down there to see her!!!! They could have done it on Saturday but I guess they were afraid we would try to talk them out of it. And did they tell us? NOI... Little turds, lol. Phil and I were very suspicious and being the kind of parents who don't like not knowing, and always trust their gut instincts we looked it up on the computer and went to marriage records in Pensacola and found the truth. And, what did she say when she found out we knew? "What did you do read some of my mail?" And what did she say when she heard how we found out? "You googled me??? Ahhhh, silly child, don't you know you can find anything you want with google!!! And, now you say, "Are you happy about this?" And I say, hummm I am working on it. It is gonna take me a while, lol.

Hey Everyone! I have been so out of touch everywhere with all this strange ridiculous weather and living in three places and worrying about 2 sons away and , , ,

So, here's my update for the last 6 months. Bink made E4 on Nov 5th. Pretty much missed his Aschool grad as he was mad at me and "forgot" to tell me where to go and when to be there. Fortunately, I figured it out and defeated his evil intent. I mean, give me a break. When I spend almost 1000 bucks to bring his dad, his sister and me to see it, I expect to see it!

He is still in Goose Creek and finishes power school on June 17. He is hoping to go to Ballston Spa NY for Prototype since it is closer to our old Northern Home. Hopefully, I will be able to go there and stay for good IF stupid Bank of America ever lets me get rid of my albatross of a house here.

He is supposed to be testing for E5 sometime soon. That would be such a slap in the face if he makes E5 in less than a year! It took me 4 years before I got to put those stripes on!

Now the unexpected news. His affair with the computer and the PS3 is over. He originally planned to get married this past weekend but fortunately changed his mind. They think they shall wait until they finish power school and get married during their wait time for prototype to start. And yes, she glows too. I thought it ironic that Alex stayed in the family business since I was a Nuke AF Officer but now he says he's going to marry a Nuke so someday, my grandkids (that better be a real long time!) will emit radiation naturally too!

It's all just tooo much!

hugs to you all. Ready for Spring Break and my visit to Charleston to meet the new lady in my Binker's life. (small sob)

HI Incognito and everyone else. I still need Names, addresses and birthdates for you and your sailors for our Birthday club. We would like to be able to send you and your sailors a birthday card and or small package on their birthday to show how much we care and appreciate you and them. Just send the info to me and I will send it to the members of the group who have sent their info as well. Wouldn't it be great to get a call or email (especially when they are deployed) from your sailor saying Mom, your friends are so cool, I got like 10  birthday cards today and someone sent me cookies:-) So please get the info to me, we don't want to miss anyone's birthday.
