Lala, I too like the birthday package idea.  I'll have to follow up.

I love hearing the news about our sailors!

Teachertoo, Congrats here on the E4, also!  My son made E4 on Jan. 28, too (Machinist Mate), and he starts Power School (nuke) on Thursday.  He was so excited to get his crows and propeller on his uniform, he sent me a pic on his phone after they were sewn on.

We have such great kids, don't we?

Congrats to all our Sailors!  So many achievements!!!  Our sailor graduated A school for CTT this past week and will start C school in early April! His is a long school...probably to the end of the year!

JLC - I so relate to you...our son's grades have also been wonderful and this is the son who I was told by a teacher if he would just put his name on a piece of paper and turn it in he would get 2 points! Lol! I guess they have found where they belong!

Lala...went to the Scrap Expo today! So fun! I will look into your new business...how wonderful!

I'm still lurking around here. I like the birthday idea. My local Ohio moms group sends goodie boxes for bdays and they are much appreciated. We get together once a month for lunch and pack the boxes for the current month's birthday. Each mom then sends her box. I'd love to participate in a sash sister group, too.

I saw a great idea about keeping in touch with our sailors and sending care packages. What we would do is exchange address' for our sailors. And then once a month or on special occasions each one of us would send a small care package to a sailor (not your own) from our group. It can be something as small as a note, or a pair of socks. On their birthdays and such we would all send a card to them.So if there were say 10 of us doing this they would get 10 birthday cards :-).  What do you think? Let me know. If each one of you will send me your sailors address and birth date (and your address and birth date too) I will make a list and send it to all of you who would like to participate. It is always fun for them to get a nice card or package from someone they may not even know :-) Thanks, Lora

Lower 70's her tomorrow. :-D I am so excited. You have no idea how badly I want to plant flowers and bulbs lol. My poor Iris's already established are almost 4 inches tall. I am afraid Mother Nature is playing a trick on them and they will be going back into hiding soon. I am hoping for an early Spring for sure. :-D
