I miss y'all too. How is everyone doing? I hope you all are having this fantastically warm sunny weather that we have been having here in NC.

Hi girls! Life here is usually pretty dull but I have some news to share. I just passed my board examination for music therapy. Considering college was 25 years ago it's a big relief!

Hope winter is going swimmingly for those of you in cold climates.

I see lots of weather pics on here almost every day so I thought I would share one with you all. It was taken this morning about 30 min from my house. We have the most amazing sunrises here :) Happy Ground Hogs Day!!!

Wow Ruthann, sounds like you need to head South lol. Come visit me, I would love it :). It was in the upper 60's here for the last couple of days and absolutely beautiful. I wasn't here though, lol. I went to VA to see my sailor for the weekend and help her move into her first apartment. We did a lot of shopping for the little things she can't live without lol. I spent way too much money but had so much fun with her. I also took her best friend Hannah with me. She is the one that came with me to PIR and the meet and greet. She and my son Cory were handing out the ribbons. It wasn't as warm in VA as it was here at home but at least it was sunny and clear. The heat doesn't work right in her apartment and it never got above 64 degrees inside there the whole weekend. I just about froze. She and Hannah used an electric blanket at night so they were warm enough. I am hoping someone comes to fix it today.

nicksmom, my sailor was a cheerleader as well :) She started out with youth squads at 2 yrs old lol. She then cheered middle school, high school and for several yrs during all that she was on a competitive All-Star team. She was a flier and a tumbler and she also cheered for basketball and foot seasons at college for 2 yrs. This will be the first yr in 19 yrs that she has not been on a team. We really enjoyed it all and miss it a lot. She found a cheer gym just a couple blocks away from her apartment and they have a handicap squad. She is going to volunteer there as a coach so she can still be involved. She misses it so much, says it is in her blood :)

And Teachertoo, I am hoping to get motivated enough to try a Zumba class- I have heard it is a lot of fun.

Well hello all,

I just finished a two week visit with our Sailor.  He left yesterday morning to drive up to his C school and duty station, He arrived and has settled in, luckily one of his friends for P.Cola is also stationed there.  It was great seeing how excited he is about his future and where the Navy will be taking him.  Well we are off to Las Vegas tomorrow wish us luck, my daughter is a pop warner cheer leader and this will be their last competition for the season, August will be here way to soon, those of you that have been involved with this will understand what I mean, I love watching the boys play and the girls cheer but come the end of January, I'm done......Have a great weekend

gigi, Rus is also like that also. He will have a fit if he has to share with a messy person. Rus used to be the messy person, guess the Navy cured that.lol Thats a good thing. He doesnt check in until Monday night so we will see what he gets.

gigi-I am so glad Jerry loves it. That is awesome.  Does he have to share a room with somebody? Did he say anything about what that is like and do they still have the same rules as they did when they were in Pensacola. Do they have to start phasing up all over again?
Comment by Bobbi Ray on January 22, 2011 at 2:18am
Rus is in the HighRollers squad.
